Mini Apron Swap
We received our package this week full of aprony goodies. Here is Phi in the adorable Thomas apron sent to us by Ann and her darling girl, Hanna.
But let's back up just a bit, shall we? (beep beep)
It was exciting as always to receive a package in the mail, especially one so festive. When we unpacked it, Phi said, "ooooooo! presents!" There was a sweet note from Hanna included.
There were all sorts of Thomas goodies. There was a hat with a painted bird design, a personalized choo choo tote, cookie cutters, bubbles, chopstick holders, oh it went on and on! Ann and Hanna went a little overboard, but in a totally fabulous way. The recipes were hand done and sooooo cute. We loved everything and Phi said, "Thank you, Mommy" after opening each thing, which of course really meant, "Thank you, Ann and Hanna." Thank you so much. Here's what we sent to Raesha and Sydney. The smocket pattern I used from The Mayfly was for a two year old, so I tried to size it up for Sydney. I really hope it worked okay. I've never altered a pattern before. Here are the package contents. I made my first softie from Hillary's Kitty, Bunny, Bear pattern. I kept it simple since it was my first one. I think in retrospect she needs some shoes, though. And maybe a necklace. Thanks to Mary and Sarah for hosting again. Thanks to Alicia for the PDF of the smocket pattern and thanks to Amy for the original inspiration. An especially big hug and kiss to Raesha, Sydney, Ann and Hanna for being our partners. So much fun!

Thank you SO MUCH!! Sydney's package arrived yesterday and we absolutely love everything. The apron fits her perfectly!! She was so excited when I told her the box was for her:) The softie is awesome - you did a great job for it being your first one:)

Darling stuff! I think I'm in love with the conductor's hat with the bird on it! Adorable!
And that smocket you made is too, too cute!!! I'm going to have to check out that tutorial! And I think your kitty is great, especially for your first...I'm still afraid to try one! lol!

There is something about little girls in aprons that I could squeal at all day long! So sweet and such a great idea!
